Planning an event in a venue that doesn’t offer drinks service? That’s where we come in. We are XLBars, an outside bar company run by husband-and-wife team Ian and Alison Exelby. The name of the company is a play on our surname, so rest assured we cater for smaller events too!
We will work with you to put together a bar service that meets your needs and your budget. We can provide all the services listed below – and the best thing is that it is entirely tailored to your individual needs:
Applying for your Temporary Event Notice or TEN, which is a requirement for all temporary bars held on unlicensed premises
Setting up the bar
Providing the beer pumps, coolers and gas for one or two draught lagers and a hand-pulled cask beer
Providing soft and alcoholic bottled beverages from a fridge, to ensure optimum serving temperature
Offering a selection of spirits, not least our excellent range of gins, as we pride ourselves on the quality of our G&Ts!
Supplying top quality fruit, ice, straws, stirrers and napkins
Providing glassware or unbreakable glasses depending on your requirements (please note, we don’t believe in single-use plastic glasses, so our plastic glasses are just as sturdy and reusable as their glass counterparts)

Extra Services
We would be delighted to quote you to supply and serve welcome drinks – usually Prosecco/champagne, Pimms or Bellinis plus a non-alcoholic alternative
We are also able to provide and serve table wines plus still and sparkling mineral waters to your guests
All we need are sources of power (a couple of sockets will usually be enough) and water (for washing glasses), plus somewhere to park as close as possible to the venue. If no power sources are available, that’s no problem – we can provide a generator.
